Optometrists Can See The Writing On The Wall

FOR optometrists, the proposed new law will be ``the banks all over again". City dwellers will notice little difference, where large dispensing companies such as OPSM have close relationships with optometrists, rural practices would simply close.
Ian Chapman, president of the NSW division of the Optometrists Association Australia, said many independent practices had disappeared in Queensland since the law changed three years ago.
``We have seen it with the banks and we have seen it with the dairy industry," he said.
